Invitation
The Johannes Gutenberg University, the European Virtual Institute for Speciation
Analysis (EVISA), and the International Association of Environmental Analytical
Chemistry (IAEAC) invite you to participate in the 12th Workshop on Progress in
Analytical Methodologies for Trace Metal Speciation.
It is the major objective of the workshop to highlight the value of the enhanced
information provided by speciation analysis and to demonstrate and discuss how this information can be used to tackle realworld challenges related to chemical species.
Participants are invited to submit contributions for presentations in English on topics
within the scope of the workshop.
|
Scope of the Workshop
Session topics are:
Tools for speciation analysis
Environmental speciation analysis with a special focus on speciation in
atmospheric sciences
Speciation analysis in proteomics, metallomics and metabolomics
Speciation analysis for the food and health sector
Speciation analysis for the characterization of materials and industrial processes
|
Exhibition
The conference will feature an exhibition of instruments, equipment, leaflets and
books. The exhibition will provide an excellently targeted opportunity to present and
to learn about the latest scientific and technical developments.
|
Submissions
Abstracts of contributions to be presented during the conference should be
submitted until April 30, 2009. Authors will be notified of the acceptance of their
contribution by May 31, 2009.
|
Workshop Venue
TraceSpec 2009 will be held at the campus of the University of Mainz in walking
distance to the city center. Mainz - the metropolis on the Rhine, which Romans,
electors and personalities such as Barbarossa and Gutenberg have left their mark
on, has a picturesque old town. The landscape on the edge of the city is
characterized by extensive winegrowing areas, where a walk between the vines at
any time of the year lets you leave your everyday cares behind. Other surrounding
areas are also delightful, and offer a wealth of opportunities for day excursions.
Whether to Europe´s major flight hub, the Frankfurt airport, or to the charming
Rheingau region with its famous monasteries such as Eberbach situtated in the hills,
or on a romantic boat trip on the Rhine or a short tour through the spendid landscapes
of the Hunsrück, Odenwald and Taunus.
